I think my mood may be heavily influenced by the music I listen to.

Oh yes, I've also recently got into the Anita Blake stories. I read the first one on Monday and the second on Tuesday; I am going to read the third one today. This is why I don't buy fiction books for myself in Uni. I have no self control over things that I like, especially books. It has to be all or nothing. I'll stay up till 6 in the morning if it means that I can finish a good book. I'm one sick puppy.

P.s. I'm in love with Jean-Claud the Master Vampire of St Louis.

Wow,

I haven't updated in ages!

Haloween has come and gone and to be honest it all feels like a bit of a let down. I'm getting stressed with my housemates. I don't think it's anything they have really done, it's just that the little things are really getting to me. Stupid things put me in a funk. Like Sarah saying 'Oh my god! I'm dressed like a lesbian!' because she was dressed as an 80's punk for Kreepy's birthday. Honestly! Who says that. I also notice things like the fact that they are so god damned normal. I think all of them except for Kreepy were in the popular crowd growing up and it really shows sometimes in their attitudes. I was dirty dancing with one of our friend's 18 year old sister and when she went away to get a drink Ru came up to me and said 'thank god that's stopped, we were worried about you for a second'. Jesus, I feel like I can't be myself up here. I really need to get some more friends like me so I can get away from time to time.

The other night I got a little depressed and decided to tell Ru for a change as opposed to just bottling it up. After that WW3 broke out. That'll teach me to open up to them. Mike got stressed at Ru for going off alone with me (I think she is insecure about other people's friendships being stronger than their friendships with her) and ended up screaming at her at 3 in the morning whilst we were locked out of our house. When we finally got in- Ru crawled in through the bathroom window- Mike then proceeded to have a full blown panic attack where she couldn't breathe. We ended up having to call her boyfriend in from Dundee which is half an hours drive away. I just sat in my room and cried cause I realised that I'd never be able to talk to any of them (apart from maybe Kreepy) without starting WW4. I don't know what I'm gonna do when Kreepy leaves at the end of this year. She's the only one that keeps me sane.

Exhale.

On the up side, I'm coming home on friday till tuesday for reading week and it's Fi's 21st party which should be really good. I don't want to plant too many hopes on it though as otherwise I'll see it as some kind of life line and if I don't have an amazing time it will seem like a let down. But I am looking forward to being at home for a while.

Wooweee!
I just got back from the Reading festival with the ultimate quote from the side of a tent: There are NO BOOKS at the Reading festival!!!. I'm such a geek. I got to see Jet and Muse one after another and I was right at the front for both!! I know those two aren't exactly the most hardcore but I love them both so much and It was my first time at seeing either. The weekend was good as a whole though I did feel that Sophie (one you don't know) kinda put a dampener on things. She always wanted to do what she wanted to do, and if you didn't go along with her then she got a bit stroppy. Also she didn't really get on with the majority of our camp for the first few days which caused tension. To be honest I felt the most sorry for Fi who is her best friend and so always seemed to have to take her side. I've noticed that when Sophie is around Fi will usually do what Sophie wants in order to appease her. I just couldn't do that long term for my friends. In my opinion friendship is about give and take which is why I don't like the idea of a leader in a group of friends cause they will usually demean one of the others. End of rant.

So anyway, the bands were good and the atmosphere was good but I now have the predictable post-Reading cold which would be fine except for the fact that I am going to Switzerland for a few days with my family. Woo hoo. I can just picture the beautiful scenery from inside my bed!!

Well, I had better go now and start packing or doing something useful like that.

Grrr!
I get so pissed of when I'm at home. I've been helping around the house, clearing out the loft with my mum on the hottest day of the year, crawling up and down boiling hot little roof spaces and getting blisters on my knees. I'll do this with as little complaint as can be expected from a teenager on a hot day. I've also been helping with household stuff. I know I'm supposed to be doing this anyway but what really gets me is that Zandra is completely ignored when it comes to household stuff. Granted she's hardly ever here, but when she is, she gets to do as she pleases. Mum just got into a big huff 'cause I didn't want to go and stand in the post office and queue up for a bunch of random stamps that she and daddy are gonna use. First of all I 'don't have a shower and get ready fast enough'. It's a God damned hot day and you don't see mum running about either. Then I ask her to make a list of what food she wants cause I have no idea. I only shop for myself in Uni and I don't know what she wants. Then I get stressed over the postage thing and she storms off saying she'll do it herself. I even try and go after her, after I've had a big glass of water, but she is still so damned sutbborn that she Just HAS to stay mad. GRRRRR.
I am REALLY looking forward to going back up to St Andrews and not just because it is much cooler there. I get so used to doing what I please. Coming and going, resting and working on my own shedule. I feel like I'm being trapped here, but I suppose everyone feels like that when they come back from Uni. Independence is a headdy thing and not something that I enjoy giving up.

OK, rant over for now.

OMG, I'm so stressed.

That penguin was more trouble than it's worth. I spelt napalm wrong and it took me ages to change it to the correct spelling and upload it again. I hate dyslexia. Every time I do something like this I realise that I am most definitely dyslexic. Argh. I need a stress ball, or something...
